Filling Niagara With Worship
A Message from Pastor Thom
I’m so grateful and excited that we get to come together in these small groups to share, dream, pray and wait on God in this next chapter for New Hope. Much has changed since our modest beginnings just over 23 years ago in a living room and a little wooden barn in Jordan, then 10 years at Jordan Public School before building here at 1st Street Louth & Rykert in 2013!
In 2024, we added our first campus location in Jordan. NHWest began with lots of renovations to get it ready for Sunday Services. We opened those doors early in 2025. The journey has been exciting and a little scary at times, as we stepped out in faith at each new 'stretch & grow' season for us. We have seen our Father's faithfulness as He continued to refine the vision and mission of New Hope Church. Through COVID and beyond, we continued to see his faithfulness as he taught us the important art of pivoting as we pressed into him for so many new ways to do ministry.
We're excited to see how God will use this ONE Church Initiative to bring the lost to Him and fill Niagara with Worship. Today, we move forward with a plan to build a new sanctuary and lobby at NHFirst, making room for and inviting others to join us as we worship and know and love Him. What a privilege that we get to partner with Christ as he grows His church!
Our leadership team has worked hard to prepare details of what we prayerfully and humbly think God is calling us to. Our hope is that together we will pray, asking God how he would have us participate, listen for His reply, and then move forward together as we step out in faith to obey what He has said to us.

Where We Are Today
We have continued to preach Biblical truth both here at NHFirst in St. Catharines and at NHWest in Jordan. We've gathered as ONE Church to worship at the Meridian Center and Charles Daley Parl. He has taken us from 2 services to 7 services on Sunday, and 5 flourishing mid-week services for Sr Youth, Jr Youth, and Young Adults.
As a church, we have been praying and asking God to direct our next steps - to open the doors that need to be opened and to close the doors that are not part of HIS plan. His answer has sometimes been surprising!
So, where are we today? NHWest classrooms have been repaired/restored, the sanctuary renovation is complete, and our 3 services are growing!
We've found creative parking and lobby solutions here at the corner of First St Louth & Rykert, and many of our church family have embraced attending the 8 am service to make room for our Fav5's at the later services. God continues to bring his people to Him and to New Hope church! People are being discipled in LifeGroups, baptized, serving and growing in their love for Jesus AND... we are eagerly waiting to see where God will send us next to fill Niagara with worship!

What will multi-service sites mean?
It means we will take our New Hope flavour - our values and vision and mission - to our new NHWest site and to additional sites across the Niagara Region as God directs us!
